Studies on the visuosensory or striate area in the Korean human brain.

Abstract
|
|
|
We investigated the extent of the visuosensory or striate area of the 126 ( a 74, ? 52) Korean brain s and summerized as follows:
1. The extent of the striate area of the Korean brain was 11.13 sq.cm in the male left hemisphere, 12.96 sq.cm in the male right hemisphere, 9.20 sq. cm in the female left side and 11.40 sq.cm in the female right side.
2. The extent of the striate area was related with the weight of the brain.
3. Among the same age group the extent of the male striate area was wider than that of female.
4. Generally the extent of the right striate area was wider than left one.
